Angelina Jolie says she's lucky to be alive after wild past

 The 36-year-old actress said that the dark, sexy side of her still exists, but only partner Brad Pitt is special enough to see it.

"I'm still a bad girl," the Daily Mail quoted Jolie as telling CBS News.

"I still have that side of me...it's just in its place now...it belong to Brad [Pitt], Or...our adventures.

The 'Salt' star also said that she's lucky to be alive, given what she put herself through in her youth.

"I went through heavier, darker times and I survived them. I didn't die young.

"So I am very lucky. There are other artists and people that didn't survive certain things... people can imagine that I did the most dangerous, and I did the worst... for many reasons, I shouldn't be here.

"You just... too many times where you came close to too many dangerous things, too many chances taken too, too far," she added.

Amitabh Bachchan smitten by Dhanush's 'Kolaveri Di'

 

 Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is the latest celebrity to be smitten by the foot-tapping music and the crazy lyrics of 'Kolaveri Di', which has been sung and penned by Tamil movie star Dhanush. Big B congratulated the Tamil actor on the song, which is from the upcoming Tamil movie 3.

Amitabh Bachchan, who is excited over his new-born granddaughter, took to his Twitter account to congratulate Dhanush. Big B tweeted, "Just heard 'Kolaveri di' after much talk on it ... its so original and catchy ..congrats Dhanush and Aishwarya (Rajini's daughter) .. love.

 

 Later, Dhanush, whose real name is Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja, thanked Amitabh Bachchan for his complements. On his Twitter page, he wrote, "Its a great honour to get a tweet from Big B, very kind of him. I dedicate the tweet to all you guys who made kolaveri this big. Love you guys. God bless."

However, a promo of the song 'Kolaveri Di' was released on Youtube on November 16. Minutes after this, the track became viral on social networking sites for its quirky Tanglish (Tamil-English) lyrics. It has garnered 14 lakh views on the popular video website.

Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit flag off 42nd IIFI in Goa

 

Expressing his uneasiness about being in Goa sans beachwear, Shahrukh Khan posted a message on Twitter, “At the Goa film festival…wearing a suit in goa…kinda takes away the spirit of the place…feel like a sore thumb.” SRK isn’t alone there however. He has his Devdas co-stars, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Jackie Shroff to keep him company. The chief guest of the opening ceremony of the film fest is Shahrukh while Tamil star Suriya and Hollywood celebs will grace the closing ceremony. Speaking to reporters, Shah Rukh said, “The technological aspect is important. If our films have to compete with the films made abroad, we have to be technologically sound.” 

 He also said Goa was an ideal place to host the IFFI.  “This is the ideal location for the film festival. We all want it to become the best in the world,” he said.

Dhak-dhak girl Madhuri is also having a whale of a time in Goa. She tweeted, “Treating myself and family to Goan curry. Delicious!! Goa rocks!” Actor Jackie Shroff went around saying that people should not look at Goa only as a holiday destination, but also participate in the International Film Festival of India. It seems that Shroff had expected people from the industry to turn up in huge numbers and was disappointed at the crowd that turned up while he was inaugurating the ‘Raj Kapoor’ lounge for directors at the IFFI venue. He said, “I am going to request people from the film industries in India, like Marathi, Tamil, Bengali also to come here for the festival. People keep talking about Cannes, let’s make Goa better than all that,” he said. 

At the festival, the Indian Panorama will open with the screening of Malayalam film Urumi and will host Indian movies like Bengali film Ranjana Ami Ar Asbo Na and Hindi film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara among others.

Ranveer Singh is Aamir Khan's copycat

 

 The Band, Baaja, Baarat actor Ranveer Singh seems to follow Aamir Khan. Recently Ranveer confessed that he does not work for money. In fact money doesn't excite him.

If we recall, Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Khan too said the same since he has a super selective attitude towards films. Unlike other actors, Aamir made it very clear that money never pulls him to a movie. What matters to him is a quality and healthy script.

Apparently following the same Ranveer said, "I do not work for money. Money never excites me, the script and the role do. My mind is not in commercial cinema; I'm here to satisfy my creative soul.”

Even a few days back, Ranveer mimicked Aamir Khan during an event launch of the film Lootera. He said, "Now on, I will only wear my pants over my tummy, like Aamir Khan.” 

 

 

Aishwarya Rai's ex beau Vivek promotes WIC outside Jalsa 

 

 Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's day was Vivek Oberoi's day of fame as well. When the Bachchan's held a press meet at Jalsa to celebrate the arrival of Aishwarya and Abhishek's daughter, Vivek Oberoi's event manager stood right outside the Jalsa house to distribute Vivek's upcoming film Watch Indian Circus DVDs to the media.

As reported in Mumbai Mirror, few journalists were gathered at a Juhu hotel for the DVD launch of Vivek's home production Watch Indian Circus. However, when they got to know that the Bachchans were holding a press meet, they all left midway to rush to Jalsa. Though Vivek's publicist and event manager requested them to wait for the arrival of the DVDs, they weren't willing to wait.

At Jalsa, when the journalists were interacting with Amitabh and Abhishek, Vivek's manager sent out an SMS stating that they were waiting outside Jalsa with the DVD's of Watch Indian Circus. The journalists were requested to go and collect the DVD's from outside!

It must be recalled here that Aishwarya and Vivek were romantically linked in the past and it is quite strange that Vivek's manager had to go to Jalsa to give out his DVD's!

Aamir Khan hunts for his dream bungalow...

 

 Bollywood's perfectionist has been envisioning his dream bungalow for a long time now. And it seems that apart from Aamir Khan's structural plans, he is keen on being neighbour to Sachin Tendulkar.

A source close to the actor has informed us that Aamir has been scouting around Bandra to find either an old bungalow or a piece of land to build his home. The source explained, "Aamir wants a place in Bandra, but he is willing to settle for a bungalow in Khar too. Although, he has got his heart set on Bandra, as he wants to be neighbours with Sachin Tendulkar. He has gone to view a couple of plots near Sachin's new house on Perry Cross Road."

"It will be a good investment. He is open to buying an old bungalow and renovating it completely," added the source.

Apparently, the actor, who already owns a flat in Marina Apartments in Union Park, has been on this quest since 2008. However, back then Aamir was reportedly keen on purchasing a residential society.

The source explained that a representative from Aamir Khan Productions had approached the owners of a society to buy a 22-apartment complex in Santacruz. But that plan failed and so, the actor is back to square one. "Aamir has dedicated much of his time lately to finding a plot. His present house is not small but he wants a bigger one. He plans to have a large office on the same premises," said the source.

When contacted, a close friend of Aamir's confirmed the actor's search for a new home, but also informed us that it need not strictly be a bungalow. "He is not ruling out shifting to a posh building. At this point, he doesn't mind either a building or a bungalow," said the actor's friend. 

 

 

Shah Rukh Khan honoured by UNESCO award

 

Shah Rukh Khan bagged a special award at the 20th UNESCO Awards in Germany on November 20.
“Gala at Dusseldorf. The UNESCO award is called Pyramide con Marni and I am super excited cos education for kids is most dear cause to me,” he tweeted.
Along with the award, he also came back with many fond memories of his interaction with Jet Li for his 14-year-old son Aryan, who is a huge fan of the Hollywood action hero.
“Now my son will know Im way cooler than he thot. With my favourite star mr. Jet li...yay!! too happy,” tweeted SRK.
Some of the other dignitaries who attended the gala event were Mikhail Gorbachev, Noami Cambell and Ute Ohoven among others.

 Ranbir-Nargis ignore each other
 It seems post Rockstar, Pakistani-American model Nargis Fakhri and Ranbir Kapoor are no more interested in being perceived as a couple.

On Wednesday night at a party at the Grand Hyatt thrown by a leading celebrity-management company KWAN, Nargis chose to be accompanied by a female friend,while Ranbir came with his father Rishi Kapoor.

 Throughout the evening Ranbir and Nargis were in separate sections of the party.

"Nargis and Ranbir hardly spoke to one another. This was an important evening for Nargis, as it was her first appearance independent of the Rockstar events. And she made it clear that she was there at the party to meet the who's who of the entertainment industry, something that she had not been allowed to do during the shooting and publicity of Rockstar," said a source from the party.

The party was her first chance to meet the Bollywood and she made the best of it.

Nargis was at her charming best at the party trying her best to mingle with the guests -- many of whom she didn't know -- enjoying her maiden appearance post Rockstar, leaving behind the team that she had been fastened to for the past one year, and that included Ranbir.

"This was clearly Nargis's evening. She made herself popular that evening, spoke to a lot of people in the industry including, yes, Deepika Padukone, with whom she got along famously. She was clearly in her elements with everyone, including Rana Daggubati and Genelia D'Souza who had flown in specially for the party from Hyderabad where they're shooting together for a Telugu film," said a source from Kwan.

"Nargis was warm and inquisitive, eager to make the best of her first appearance outside the sheltered, protective environment of the Rockstar team. And she blossomed under all the attention that she effortlessly got that evening," the source added.
